Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am a local account executive with The Knot, handling the markets of NH, ME, VT and Upstate New York. I have been with The Knot for (5) years and love what I do. I work directly with vendors to help them reach our audience of brides and couples planning, researching and booking weddings.
If you had to give a bit of advice in regards to wedding planning what would it be?
Be inspired! Take the time to speak to your wedding professionals. They are the experts in what they do! Yes, everyone is busy these days, and texting/emailing is a good way to start conversations, but if you really want the right fit for you, reach out for conversation or appointments if possible.
Why do you feel it is important to see vendors in action?
The bridal industry is 100% visual. Once a bride/couple finds a vendor on The Knot witnessing the work/expertise the vendor offers in person could be key. The Knot focuses’ a good deal of attention on real weddings in our magazines and online, showcasing the talents of vendors to make it more visual and engaging for our audience too.
How do you feel BESWOON is different from a typical wedding showcase?
BESWOON encourages interaction with vendors and the bridal audience attending as if it was a real wedding. It allows vendors talents to be tangible and reachable. Our network helps connect brides/couples to their perfect vendor but seeing, touching and meeting vendors in person may help make a better impression.
