Vendor Love: El’s Cards
March 12th, 2014 by BESWOON
El’s Cards first came across our radar several months ago, and we were so excited when they decided to come on board for the Modern Coastal room at BESWOON. We asked El how she got started, what she loves about designing wedding stationary for couples and of course her excitement about BESWOON! Check out what El had to say below:
“I have always loved calligraphy and painting, and have been doing both since high school. El’s Cards started in 1998 after years of doing wedding calligraphy and custom artwork for friends. El’s Cards moved to the seacoast of New Hampshire when I met my husband, Bob, and we haven’t looked back since!
All of the designs and calligraphy used are my own. I have several special fonts that are totally unique to El’s Cards and the cards are all done in my own style in watercolor painting. I find that people really love this special custom touch, especially on their wedding day! The seating chart is our signature item. Not only does it provide a guide for getting guests to their seats, but it also serves as artwork for the couple to enjoy for their lifetime! I also do custom maps to include in the invitation or as the save the date, which are a really fun touch.
I was in the Modern Coastal room at BESWOON, which was really exciting because I am indeed a beach girl. I especially loved the oyster and mussel shells that became a focus of my stationary, the cake and other elements in the room. I had a great time seeing all of the pieces come together, and working with the wonderful Maine vendors.”
Check out El’s beautiful contributions to the room as well as some of her other works below!
