Vendor Love: Springer’s Jewelers
February 28th, 2014 by BESWOON
Chances are you’ve heard their adorable ads on the radio, and after over 100 years in business Springer’s is undoubtedly a household name. Springers offers a vast selection and knowledge of jewelry from the Gatsby era, which is why we couldn’t be more excited to have this historic Maine jeweler featured in our BESWOON Gatsby Glamour Room! We caught up with Springers to talk 2013 vs. 2014 jewelry trends, and to get some tips on choosing a family jeweler.
BESWOON: What were the 2013 trends in jewelry, and what do you see as being on trend for 2014?
Springers: Rose gold was the jewelry trend of 2013. This precious metal first became a popular jewelry choice over 100 years ago, proving that everything that’s old can be new again! Because of Springer’s 144 year history, we were able to incorporate this trend seamlessly with our existing vintage pieces.
2014 is the year of personalized, one-of-a-kind pieces. Each client wants something that not only represents their loved one, but also is a one-of-a-kind piece. This is something that Springers has recognized for years. From the contemporary styling of Danhov to the vintage inspired designs of Tacori, Springers has something for everyone. Another trend for 2014 is the extension of the “halo” style engagement ring. Although more women still prefer this style of ring over any other, they have become a more sophisticated shopper, focusing on the fine details. Springers attends all of the major international jewelry shows to ensure that we stock the best designed halos around!
BESWOON: What are some helpful tips you can give couples when it comes to choosing their jeweler?
Springers: A relationship is the most important part of choosing any vendor, however especially when choosing your jeweler. Unlike a lot of the elements of your wedding, your jewelry is something that will last the rest of your life. A jeweler with a good reputation is someone you can count on for services for the life of your piece.
